Naples
This is the most common and closest cruise port to Pompeii. The archaeological site is approximately 25-30 km (15-19 miles) southeast of the port of Naples.

Salerno

Cruise Excursion

Note: This will be the safest way of travelling to ensure that you do not miss your 'all aboard' time.
Private Car/Taxi

DIY (VIa Train)
- Pro: Very affordable (a few euros each way). The Circumvesuviana train stop (Pompei Scavi – Villa dei Misteri) is right across from the main entrance.
- Con: Requires a transfer from the cruise port (Metro or walk to Garibaldi Station). Trains can be crowded, hot, and prone to delays. You are fully responsible for getting back to the ship on time.
